Yesterday we lost Gayle Quin, a true heroine and peaceful warrior for cannabis freedom.
I got to know Gayle well during the Owen Smith trial, which ultimately resulted in a unanimous Supreme Court of Canada decision in favour of medical cannabis patients like Gayle. This link will take you to a pdf with her powerful testimony in that trial. I encourage you to read it and to either remember Gayle or get to know her.
She bravely shared her story of discovering the healing power of cannabis and all the benefits that it provided to her, and to the people she helped at the Cannabis Buyers Club of Canada. She resolved to help others on their healing paths. She was one of the most generous and helpful souls I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting. And she will be missed.
Rest in peace Gayle. Your legacy will live on, not just in the hearts and minds of those you touched but in the history of our shared struggle for dignity, autonomy and compassion.
